Guest guest
I would like to post three last quotes from Vivekananda. Think carefully on the first quote, especially - consider the meaning behind the last sentence, at first by itself, then in the context of the rest of the quote; it invoked a trembling within me. "What is it that attracts man to man, man to woman, woman to man, and animals to animals, drawing the whole universe, as it were, toward one center? It is what is called love. Its manifestation is from the lowest atom to the highest being: omnipotent, all-pervading, is this love. What manifests itself as attraction in the sentient and the insentient, in the particular and the universal, is the love of God. It is the one motive power that is in the universe. Under the impetus of that love, Christ gives his life for humanity, Buddha even for an animal, the mother for the child, the husband for the wife. It is under the impetus of the same love that men are ready to give up their lives for their country." (2:50-51) "The unity of all existence--you all have it already within yourselves. None was ever born without it. However you may deny it, it continually asserts itself. What is human love? It is more or less an affirmation of that unity: 'I am one with thee, my wife, my child, my friend!'" "Love binds, love makes for that oneness. You become one, the mother with the child, families with the city, the whole world becomes one with the animals. For love is existence, God Himself; and all this is the manifestation of that One Love, more or less expressed." ----- The CORE of Reality awaits you at: http://www.eskimo.com/~fewtch/ND/index.html - Poetry, Writings, Live Chat on spiritual topics.
