Guest guest
What I'd be interested in knowing is if Kundalini or other forms of Yoga (and also other meditation schools) use stellar energy in their methods. Sun and Moon visualisations count! Please tell me what you know! Thanks, Thomas Bradley Harsha: In India, where it is customary to sleep on the verandas on the top of houses, I developed the habit of focusing on the moon as a child (before falling asleep). I noted that staring (Tratkam) at the moon, leads to the perception of the moon coming closer and closer sometimes dramatically quickly. Yes. Indeed such visualizations stimulate the Kundalini. Doing Tratka on the Sun is an advanced method of Yoga and should be only done under competent guidance as it can lead to serious eye troubles including blindness. My teacher told me that those who wish to focus on the Sun usually start out with early morning Sun, etc. One should review the appropriate literature and seek personal and competent guidance before embarking on some of these exercises, many of which are not given in books and are dangerous. By the way, my personal view is that one should only ingest medicine, when it is completely necessary to ease pain or heal the body. Jill Eggers has given excellent advice on this. Finding the appropriate diet for yourself is very helpful. Yogis recommend diets based on fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, etc. Walking and deep breathing are simple but potent exercises for good health. My views on Kundalini and various other topics can be found at the following url. http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/umbada/harsha.htm
