Marcia:

This is where the juncture is between becoming a man of

feeling or a man of power. The man of power makes

product out of process forging an identity out of

experience. The man of feeling wakes totally up

realizing that all that was nothing. The last thing to be

sacrificed is that exact thing which got me where I am.

The self which I remember is the self sacrificed.

Harsha: Marcia, this (especially the last three lines) is very beautiful and

moving. "The self which I remember is the self sacrificed." Memory is one

of the critical components of an individual identity as well. It occurs to

me that "self- remembrance" in the deepest sense is the last to go and merge

in the Absolute, as it is the nucleus, the product of awareness and matter

and the outcome of innumerable relationships with living beings.
