Guest guest
Hi Everyone: Last night I had a dream that I want to share. Two young women had been abducted and I and an unknown colleague set out to find them. I was intercepted by a ghostly being that attempted to frighten me away - I mustered up the courage to literally grab this being and directed it to lead me to the captured women. I was led to a church - the name of which I don't recall but didn't care for. I changed the name of the church to "God is Love Church" and then entered. Within there were unethical (though non-specific) activities going on, but I proceeded to search for the women. I found them taking part in these activities - they had been brainwashed. Turning to the first of the two women, I said words that I knew would heal, simply "You are Love". When the second woman grabbed me from behind by the neck, I turned and made the same pronouncement to her. Then I awakened. As I summarized this dream in my journal, I gave thanks. This morning, my wife asked me to tell her about my "beautiful dream". She said she heard me say "You are Love", and it sent a shiver of delight up her spine. When I thought about it some more, I started to cry. I cried because I had forgotten that I, too, am Love. And this is how we remember what we are - by reminding others. Guest guest
Hi Rob, A wonderful dream! I offer my response just as something for you to think about and see if it rings true to you... >Last night I had a dream that I want to share. Two young women had been >abducted Jung said that we are all whole beings and contain both male and female... one is conscious, the other unconscious... for a man, the feminine soul, the "anima," is in the unconscious... she is your internal woman, your true "other half." Sometimes this figure appears in dual form; one may seem to be a Mary or an Aphrodite figure and one a Kali figure... love and death, heaven and hell... this seems to be true in your case, since one attacked you from behind... but they are both parts of you and both to be accepted and loved. In your dream the internal woman has been abducted... seems somebody or something had taken her from you... and was keeping her from you... > and I and an unknown colleague set out to find them. I gather the colleague was a man... The figure of the same sex who walks beside us in a dream often represents the higher self, the spiritual guide or guru, representing the new center forming on the line between conscious and unconscious, from which you can see both ways. Your higher self is with you as you go to find and free the internal fem(s). > I was intercepted by a ghostly being that attempted to frighten me away You encountered the Guardian of the Gate... sometimes a terrifying and horrible figure. But this being is there for your own good, to protect you from getting into the unconscious before you're ready. When you understand that this being is also part of you and a good part, you can handle it however you will... walk through it, for instance... >- I mustered up the courage to literally grab this being and directed it >to lead me to the captured women. Good choice! You grab the Guardian and tell it to take you to your fem(s). > I was led to a church - the name of which I don't recall but didn't care >for. Don't know why she/they are being held in this church, but it may reflect something of your own religious history in this life... the church you grew up in? where God was not Love?... > I changed the name of the church to "God is Love Church" Talk about cleaning up karma! You changed this church that was holding your fem(s) prisoner. That is, you changed the church as it remained in you, as it had been internalized... now it's different... > and then entered. Within there were unethical (though non-specific) >activities going on, but I proceeded to search for the women. I found >them taking part in these activities - they had been brainwashed. Even your internal fem(s) had been brainwashed... didn't know who she was... > Turning to the first of the two women, I said words that I knew would >heal, simply "You are Love". When the second woman grabbed me from behind >by the neck, I turned and made the same pronouncement to her. You healed them and yourself with love and truth, by telling them what they are... Love... And you have met your internal woman now and accepted and loved her, both aspects of her... >Then I awakened. As I summarized this dream in my journal, I gave thanks. > >This morning, my wife asked me to tell her about my "beautiful dream". >She said she heard me say "You are Love", and it sent a shiver of delight >up her spine. > >When I thought about it some more, I started to cry. I cried because I >had forgotten that I, too, am Love. Yes, you are, Rob. I don't think you'll forget again... your unconscious fem is free now... accepted and loved... You may find your feminine side coming out more now... don't worry about it, it's good... a man's feminine side includes all the feeling and sensitivity that so many men repress in themselves. And you may find closer, easier contact with your internal guide, your own guru. What a marvelous dream! Love, Dharma

Guest guest
Dharma: Thank you so much for your interpretation of my dream. It does make a lot of sense. Although I was aware that dream figures may represent parts of the dreamer, for some reason it had not occurred to me that the two abducted women represented my own inner feminine. I have had previous dreams of being frightened by ghostly feminine figures, but this was the first time I had been able to challenge them in this way. Yes, my colleague was a man and yes, I was raised in a harsh, fundamentalist environment so that a large part of my spiritual struggle has been due to a false picture of God as a very masculine judge. I am grateful to God/Goddess for the dream and I am grateful to you for your loving concern. Thank you also for the scientific information on Kundalini which you sent to my Hotmail address.
