Harsha: Dear friends, there is much beauty in Satsangha. Recently more

friends like Shraddha and Shanti, Marcia, David, Gene, and many others have

joined us and we welcome them. Posts by Marcus, Jan, Dharma, Gene, Tim, Tim,

Bruce, Gloria, Janpa, Melody, Jerry, Maurine, Carolyn, Linda, Chris, David,

David, Christiana, Gill, Antoine, Mike, Rob and so many others are much

appreciated and we thank them for their sharing and company. We hope our

friend Holly Barrett is feeling better.

The wise have indicated that in this tree of life, sweetest fruits are

yielded by meditation on the Self and by being in Satsangha or company of

sages. In Hinduism and Jainism and Buddhism, they say that due to good karma

or merit, one has the opportunity for Satsangha, to share in fellowship with

others on the spiritual path. Sri Shankra has said that the human birth is

the best opportunity to awaken to our real nature and go beyond suffering to

experience and abide in the eternal state of completion, in one's own Self.

We have come together to enjoy this fellowship in an environment of mutual

respect and love without regards to race, religion, gender, nationality,

etc.

May all living beings prosper and engage in each other's welfare. God bless

everyone with peace, joy, love, satisfaction and compassion. May everyone's

suffering come to an end.

Om Shanti. Peace.

What does Om Shanti mean? (Sorry if this is a dumb

question.)
