Dear Debora,

You wrote, "im pretty much a pacifist."

Well, so am I. I've walked away from harm many times. But I walk away when I

realize no greater good can come from me adding to the violence.

I learn a great deal from my animals. Dogs, cats, etc. They use violence

directly. In other words they go exactly to the cause of their frustration

and try to eliminate it.

There doesn't seem to be a thought process or a negotiation. I.E., if the cat

goes to eat out of the dog's bowl, the dog will go at the cat. Instead of

lets say, biting the other dog to show the cat how tough she can be.

And after the dog rids of the cat, there doesn't seem to be any grudge held.

The situation in over. They get on with life.

In the case of Kosovo, the powers that be are destroying lives that have

nothing to do with the problem. They are skirting around the issue

(Milosevich) instead of stopping him directly. There is no doubt in my mind

that they could, if they wanted to, take him into custody, kill him or

whatever it takes to stop him. But they don't. Instead we are human.

Instead, some point or politic has to be satisfied at the cost of human lives

and human suffering.

This is one of those times when I am ashamed of us, the human race. Once

again, we are caught up in reason and politics and are hurting one another and

making matters worse.

I hurt when I think of all the suffering that is being directly caused by the

bombings.

Bring Milosevich to me. I'll do him in. No Problem.

Will you Laura?

I had the opportunity once, with Duvalier in Haiti. And i did not do it,

kill him. I was 19, had all the reason to do it. But i did not... I

realized he was human, and realised so much more.

What bring you to say such a thing Laura? Seek in you to find, if you

want of course...

Antoine
