Hi Marcus,

What is _Sky of the Heart_? Is the original in Sanskrit?

I'm struck by the line: "The individual is the modification of the mind."

Does this use the same words as the second sutra of Patanjali? I'm moving

and my books are boxed... but I think it's something like: "Meditation is

the control of the modifications of the mind." And the Sanskrit is chitta

vritti, I think.

If the same words are used, then I'd like to know what word is used for

"individual." Thanks.

Love,

Dharma

Ananda,

Sutra 10 from Sky of The Heart:

Sutra 10

For the person firmly established in the One,

There is no rebirth.

For such a person, free of desires,

Death comes only as he or she wills.

To see the One is subtle;

To see the One is to see the same Self in all.

This is "same-sightedness,'' equal vision.

Seeing the One in all by looking inward.

Seeing that this world and the next world are

One,

The union of the individual Self and

The Absolute.

The individual is the modification of the mind,

The Absolute is the great silence:

Beyond qualities,

Neither good nor evil,

Neither hot nor cold,

Formless, free of qualities,

No-thing.

Mahabhakti
