Guest guest
Hi everyone, Ya know, there are those that say individuality vanishes in Realization. That very well could be, I admit that I don't know, as I make no claims to Realization. I tend to run away as fast as I can from anybody who claims or even insinuates that they are Realized or Enlightened, and from people who try to tell me "how to get there," or "the benefits of it," I run even faster. There are no gurus but the one Inside. One thing I know for sure. Where there is no love, there is no possibility of Realization. I hear talk of peace, of loss of self, of emptiness, of fullness, of gain of Self... the wheel spins round and round. But only rarely do I hear talk of love. Lovelessness is lifelessness. If Realization involves a lack of love and a disconnection from life, I most certainly would prefer to remain among the ranks of the "unenlightened." "Enlightenment" to me involves a deepening of feeling, a love that comes from BEING. It involves going deeper and deeper into life, so deep that perhaps our small sense of individuality merges with the Whole. But the Whole is Love, and Love is the Whole. There is no separation. Where there is love, there is a deepening sensitivity. Where there is Ultimate Love, there is Ultimate Reality. So many who hint at having experienced Realization seem so loveless. Those who are loveless, I distrust. Forgive me. Most talk of Realization and peace in the same breath. Peace is overrated. Take a valium, and you'll be perfectly at peace. Take two, and you'll have that "Peace which surpasses all understanding." Take ten, and you'll die. A common saying is "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Isn't it also true that "Absolute love perfects absolutely?" Look at yourself, is there love there? If not, and you feel Realized, you're fooling yourself. Ego has got you by the genitals. Peace or no peace. With pure OM, Tim ----- Visit The Core of the WWW at: http://www.eskimo.com/~fewtch/ND/index.html Poetry, Writings, Live Chat on Spiritual Topics.
