Guest guest
Dear Friends, We all need to relax and have some fun. In that spirit I would like to inform you that some planning has to done in giving the Awards on in late May. We need to select a date and time and all that when people can be online. But I need your help in other ways. First what categories of awards would you suggest? Here are some that I am thinking of but I am totally open to suggestions and very flexible on this: The most prolific poster (we need at least three to five nominations in every category) The most controversial poster (again three to five nominations) The most wise (wisest) poster The most ridiculous poster but loved nevertheless The most interesting poster The most informative poster The most nondual poster The most silent poster The most compassionate poster The most enlightened poster The most unenlightened poster but loved nevertheless More suggestions please!! All decisions by the a committee will be final. I will need much assistance. Should the committee be anonymous? Please let me know. Guest guest
Brilliant, Harsha! One thing strikes me about the categories suggested: nondual, wisest and most enlightened (and maybe most compassionate) seem to say pretty much the same thing and perhaps should be amalgamated? I think there should be a few really silly ones: poster I'd most like to be stuck in lift with poster I'd most like to go on a pub-crawl with (that'll probably get me a nomination for most unenlightened...) most confusing poster most confused poster two posters who might be the same person poster who makes the most typos funniest poster (deliberately or otherwise!) funkiest poster That's all I can think of! This is gonna be FUN! Can I help judge? I don't think it's necessary for the committee to be anonymous (though it would be nice if the committee members could win awards, but I'm not sure how that would work!) over-excitedly, gill

This is gonna be FUN! Can I help judge? If you're as good at judging as you are at coming up with ideas, I'd vote for you. <s> Really great ideas. And thanks to Harsha for having the idea of a 'nondual contest' of sorts. That's the funniest of all, I think. Here's a few of my own to contribute... How about: "most original postings" and "whose posts I'm most apt to save". Oh, yes, and don't forget the "who I'd least like to see in a swimsuit" category. lightly, Melody

Heeheehee! That last one is brilliant, and the other two are good as well! Harsha, you simply must keep the swimsuit category, *please*! gill > lightly, > Melody
