Well, perhaps the 'person' watching the movie (The Witness). I doubt the screen (thought) itself could look, as the perspective is totally impossible, not to mention that the screen is the servant of whatever is projected upon it, and thus bound to simply act as the surface upon which Reality is projected. >This hability to switch, at will, the center of perception from one side >of the coin to the other, the polarization effect as i call it, is the >main source of my bi-polar nature, from my experience, until ones become >the coin with no sides to it. Usually the presence of a silver cord means that the soul has left the body and gone travelling while asleep. This has never once occurred to me before, AFAIK. If there was no silver cord, you were probably not dreaming, your soul remained in the body. >A sensation of >coming from another side was felt, a difference between the sleep state >and the awake state could be noticed. I find more and more often, I crave that peace that surpasseth all understanding, the Sat-Chit-Ananda of resting on Ground of Being, yet it is not yet anywhere near "a stable state" (other than in dreamless sleep, and that is a poor substitute for *consciously* being there). >I then open my eyes, remembering my room, but it was different as i >remembered it. I constantly see mention of a clear white light connected with higher states of consciousness. I'm going to start meditating on clear, glowing white light soon, although it is not an easy meditation. I find my "blank white field" meditation (anything but clear) to be far easier to envision. Light seems too "scattered" or diffused to be the object of a focussed meditation, I find it difficult to envision a vast field of clear light. Perhaps a relaxing and opening of the mind (a much gentler focus) is required. It means going beyond the mind entirely. You are looking for something else to envision, to meditate on. Try leaving the mind behind... try meditating without meditating _on_ anything. Just maintain your integral focus of consciousness... in silence and peace... resting... be receptive... open to seeing or hearing, but not seeking it... let that replace thinking... let the thinking go on far below you... withdraw your attention from it. It is the clear light of the All... not something to envision. Meditating on white light might tend to draw you towards the right direction... but it is better not to meditate on anything... Drop the mind and rise above it like a balloon with no ropes holding it down. ) Love, Dharma

Dharma: It means going beyond the mind entirely. Tim: That would be the ultimate goal - perhaps the "coin" becomes a "sphere" or something of that nature. Antoine: Yes you can use that image, it was that image i projected in my mind writing this paragraph, about the coin with no sides. As Dharma says i was waking up away from the mind, in 'nothing', the mind was not there. Opening my eyes, called back a form of mind associated to them. But even then there was no projector (my eyes) and no wall on which the film was projected (matter, my room). I was more like space holding the stars, this textured white dust light, no perceiver no receiver, a dream simply. A balloon of dream, out of nowhere... A sphere with no surface and center. Or something like that... >The other side of the coin? > >Is that not the screen on wich the film is projected coming to look at >the projector? Tim: Well, perhaps the 'person' watching the movie (The Witness). I doubt the screen (thought) itself could look, as the perspective is totally impossible, not to mention that the screen is the servant of whatever is projected upon it, and thus bound to simply act as the surface upon which Reality is projected. Antoine: I would not underestimate the ability of the 'screen' becoming itself a witness. It's the sound of one hand, The Ear listening. Calibrating the consciousness of our anthropological ear to that Ear, is something that calls for all my listening abilities, waiting for me since eternity, away from my anthropological mind. It comes to me as a grace for their is no difference from the witness and reality at this point. It's the Yin/Yang, melting just before the realization of the Tao. Shakti and Shiva, coming to melt into each other in a big kiss. Enjoy, Antoine
