Guest guest
Dear Gemini, Thank you very much for this treatise. I maintain there is little difference between Advaita Vedanta and Shaivism, other than some terminologies used, and the dogma that the world of form is "real" or "unreal." The nature of the two is to realize the same thing, that Self (Atman) is Supreme Reality, whether you name that supreme reality Shiva, or Brahman. I don't see a difference except in labels, and a few dogmatic assertions that make little difference in the ultimate realization of Nirvikalpa Samadhi and Moksha. There, all faiths are thrown away as unnecessary, as all faiths are merely tools to help reach The Supreme. All religions lead to the same goal, all faiths lead to Advaita (One-ness), only the dogma differs. Thank you, my brother, Thy Own Self, Tim At 12:53 PM 4/18/99 -0000, you wrote: >>>> What Is the Ultimate Goal of Earthly Life? ----- Visit The Core of the WWW at: http://www.eskimo.com/~fewtch/ND/index.html Music, Poetry, Writings on Nondual Spiritual Topics.
