Guest guest
Hi All, Before I begin meditating, I find it necessary to calm and defocus the mind (also known as "quieting the monkey-mind chatter." I've found a way that works really well for me. There's a completely free screensaver available that displays wild, gyrating, moving, ever-changing graphics on the computer screen. It also "responds" to music played on a CD. After watching this display for about 15 minutes, I find that all thought has dissolved into the ever changing kaleidoscopic patterns, that I "lose myself" in the display. When I then turn off the screensaver, I find that random thoughts and mind-chatter is completely gone, lost in the ever-changing colors and patterns. The URL for the screensaver: http://www.cis.ohio-state.edu/~geiss/geiss.html In hopes this might help someone, Tim ----- Visit The Core of the WWW at: http://www.eskimo.com/~fewtch/ND/index.html Music, Poetry, Writings on Nondual Spiritual Topics.
