Speaking about past and present could be called "improper terminology". To my knowledge, there exists Life, expressing itself in life-forms in such a way, that the life-forms will automatically reproduce and the life-forms are like pearls on a thread until one becomes weary of wearing a necklace So one just wakes up and thinks "oh shit! where am I?", only to find out one is at a place where life is primitive and a war is raging. But the primitives have a great sense of humor, hanging a model of an obsolete satellite above the bed, causing one to roar with laughter in the middle of the night, when the satellite-imitation almost looks real and one thinks "heck! if they have these primitive sats right now, it will be back home after all" but forgets the idea when it turns out there aren't even primitive sats yet. If some twenty five years later, K. development causes one to have a kind of vision, acknowledging one's first thoughts and memories after the "zap", it is already too late to demand "money back for wrong delivery" from the *#@! galactic stork and the *#@!! bird must have known that Jan
