I am attracted to the spirit in the pet, the indwelling Atman, not the pet's body. The freedom, warmth and loving spirit inherent in certain animals far exceeds that of most humans, especially those so covered with ego that they brag constantly about their "twice-born," enlightened status. The body means little to me, other than it being a beautiful thing to look at, like a sunset. >Jan >(not attached to non-attachment) Talk is cheap. Then why need a pet at all? Needing the body of a pet to see indwelling Atman - if that is true, why not have many pets with all their attractive indwelling Atmans? According to simple logic, Atman relates to Brahman as a drop of water relates to the ocean. So how about the indwelling Atman of persons like Hitler? The freedom, warmth and loving spirit inherent in certain > animals far exceeds that of most humans, especially those so covered with > ego that they brag constantly about their "twice-born," > enlightened status. Failing to see the indwelling Atman in persons like Hitler? Reminds of a joke - Q: "how does a hypocrite find truth?" A: "By reading 'truth' ". > The body means little to me, other than it being a beautiful > thing to look > at, like a sunset. The why not buy a hologram; it will never shit on the carpet and its Atman will teach without the need for food > >Jan > >(not attached to non-attachment) > > Talk is cheap. > > Hari OM, but according to you that is cheap, > Tim Thanks for providing a key to decode your posts that aren't literal quotes Jan
