Guest guest
Especially in spiritual forums, in order to express oneself clearly, the dictionary will be used frequently. MS has a few usable ones too, one of them being bookshelf. However, anyone who ever tried to copy text from MS bookshelf to an MS mail-client like Outlook, will have noticed that always something went wrong, usually Outlook showing an unrecoverable error. This isn't a "real" error; it is an error purposely generated by MS Outlook. The reason is, that these days even the meaning of words is copyrighted. So the error is sneakily generated to prevent us, customers, from using the "copy and paste" function. For instance, looking up "Brahman" in bookshelf, one reads: Brahman Brahman or Brahmin, member of the highest, or priestly, caste of the Hindus; see HINDUISM. If one uses "copy", then pastes to a MS Outlook message_in_the_ making, an error will be generated, causing Outlook to abort and destroying one's work, if it wasn't saved before "paste". However, if one pastes to MS notepad, one will read: Brahman Brahman or Brahmin, member of the highest, or priestly, caste of the Hindus; see HINDUISM. The Concise Columbia Encyclopedia is licensed from Columbia University Press. 1995 by Columbia University Press. All rights reserved. Q: But what to do, other than type out the entire text? A: find one of the many freeware text editors like nextpad and always paste from MS (bookshelf etc.) to nextpad first. Then, copy the text from nextpad, paste to MS Outlook and this time, no error will show up The lesson is, never trust commercialism )) Now who will charge MS for loosing time and money? (Don't forget finder's fee Jan Nextpad: available at http:www.squirrel.com.au
