Guest guest
Harsha: Recent discussions have focused on Pranayama. Pranayama is really at the heart of Yoga and Kundalini Yoga. Deep meditation also automatically leads to Kevala Kumbhaka and the arousal of Shakti. Watching the breath is a safe exercise. When the Sarswati Nadi is flowing (The left nostril is fully open), then deep breathing with slow inhalation and exhalation is very good and will lead to meditation. Advanced exercises like Bhastrika followed by Bandha Traya (application of all three Bandhas) and Yoni Mudra should be learned cautiously and under guidance only. There are many advanced pranayama exercises which have a powerful effect on the nervous system, the heart, and the brain. They are best suited for serious Hatha Yoga aspirants, who have discipline, and are fairly young. It is not necessary to practice the Hatha Yogic Pranayama exercises to attain Samadhi or Self- Realization. See my paper below for more details on Pranayama and Kundalini in the context of Tantra.........................Harsha The Spiritual Experience and the Awakening of >Kundalini Shakti in Tantra Yoga >http://www.telebyte.nl/~frans/kundalini/harsh.html
