How so? "Air" (a mix of gases consisting mainly of nitrogen, oxygen and

argon, if I remember correctly) is matter. A breatharian might be using

this matter (air) in the same way that a "normal person" does - converting

the various gases to energy which fuels the body.

Brush up on your chemistry - or should silicon, phosphorus and sulfur, to

mention a few, be breathed in from polluted air ?:)))

Any living body will loose elements that cannot be supplied by clean air,

unless, like the founder of macro-biotics, one simply states that a living

body will use nuclear fusion to create the missing elements :) Nevertheless

the laugh - there have been serious cases of malnutrition due to this silly

belief.
