If there is only Atman, why bother about finding pets, having them, calling them Guru or bother about anything at all? Just say "presto! here is the Atman who never was away after all" and enjoy mahasamadhi The argument that everything is Atman is often used as a cloak to hide attachment Self-realization is nothing more (or less) than the start of a long road, a fact that is often overlooked.
