Guest guest
It was very nice to hear from so many of you. I answer all of you in one so as not to send too many posts to the list. It seems there are varying opinions as to whether Kundalini is or is not a path towards enlightenment. I gather it CAN produce certain altered states of consciousnes which I am in no way interested in experiencing again so it might be wise to stay away from these sorts of practices. In a way, Kundalini Yoga reminded me of certain Bioenergetics Therapeutic techniques that open the flow of energy through out the body. The purpose of this is mainly to work through mental blocks as mind and body are one. Still, as I see it, it all depends on our needs. I'm sure in many cases it could be a way towards spiritual advancement, in other cases, it can be a danger since some of us seem to have a natural tendency to "fly out of the ball park" with little encouragement. -smile- I am not searching for a "teacher" or for enlightenment. Unless enlightenment means to stop searching and start living. I feel "enlightenment" is just one more pot at the end of the rainbow. When we are in our spiritual infancy we believe money, fame or power will bring us that "ultimate state of bliss". As we discover that they don't, then we change the name and say "enlightenment" is the "true goal" of our existence. Without realizing it we fall into the same trap of looking for something beyond what is already there. If there is such a thing as enlightenment, I don't think it will come with fireworks and cymbals. I think it'll be more like waking up....looking around....seeing for the first time that there is nothing beyond what is apparent and then saying to ourselves like Porky Pig......That's all folks!...LOL With Love & Metta Silvia
