Dear Madhya,

At 08:34 PM 6/7/99 -0700, you wrote:

You are what is commonly categorized as a "spiritual materialist." And as

with all spiritual materialists, you are in denial of the fact. Your

suggestion that one person's opinion has weight over another's because of

"authority" granted by dualistic egotists suggests to me that your

understanding of nonduality has not passed the beginner's stage. Your

words come purely from the head, not from the heart.

The "authoritative" opinion is not always the "right" opinion. Were you

raised in a rigid, authoritarian family?

He doesn't need to. His commentary regarding Shankara's point of view is

correct, and Shankara's point of view was correct as well.

The mirror is up, Madhya. Take a good, hard look into it.

Tim;

Your comments are appreciated. We ( a number of us satsanghers ) are

enjoying debating back and forth concerning how we can talk about

"divinity," oneness, or wholeness. I believe that we are all equal in our

commitment to spiritual growth.

Let our love and yearning to become Truth always be our guide!
