A permanent goodbye...

I would like to say goodbye to all on , as I'm unsubscribing

from this list permanently. I've found that it does not serve whatever

need I was looking for, nor am I able to serve anyone in any capacity, as

the policy of the list emphasizes politeness and gentleness, not truth. In

my sadhana I've discovered one basic thing: only certain knowledge of truth

and lifting of ignorance can bring one to Self-realization; gentleness,

ahimsa, politeness, etc. are not sufficient, and indeed often stand in the

way of communication of those truths that free a person from the bondage of

samsara and ultimately result in liberation. Thus, this list is useless to

me, and I'm unsure of the purpose of it, other than perhaps to celebrate

something that most on the list are far from Realizing. Social contact and

tea parties are nice; real, in-person satsanghs are nice; but I fail to see

the purpose (and indeed the effectiveness) of a "virtual satsangh."
