Guest guest
Greetings Harsha: Thank you for the timely posting. The jyotishii in me understands that this is a time of challenge and that the universal pattern of planetary placements appears to be working overtime to drive us all nuts. The human in me is struggling not to react. For me it is always good to be reminded to surrender and that this is all an illusion. On another list I read that when we perceive that we are being hurt we will react in the same way. That brought a smile of recognition as I recalled an incident this weekend. I was too long at the dentist office on Saturday and had to go back on Sunday. Both days I was in pain and had to work after the visits. I work on phones - at one point the phone rang and before I could answer it I found myself simply picking it up and throwing it across the room. This action was probably less harmful than answering it and using hurtful words towards some person. The following day the incident was mentioned to my 'ex' - I am currently using one of his cordless phones - his immediate response - "was it my phone that you threw"? Happily for him it wasn't.:-) I mention this silly little tale because for me it reinforces how subtle ahimsa can actually be - we move from understanding that 'thou shall not kill' to so many levels. Had it been my ex's phone well then rather than just giving myself a headache (thereby acting harmfully towards my own body) I would have caused him harm. Makes me aware of how mastery of ahimsa can be quite a long process. Have a good day, Linda
