Tim - just as an aside - the computer won't let me take the PhD off my

address - it was set up that way for me and it's, like many things, *beyond

my personal control.*

Now that you brought my attention to it, I don't particularly like the tone

it suggests either. It's interesting how three letters can set so much of

a "tone" -- shows the extent to which social implications can affect our
