You're correct, it's a stereotype. And I think it does contain some truth.

However, I don't know how you personally "apply" the knowledge you worked

for in being granted a PhD (perhaps you don't even apply it at all...), so

I'm glad you didn't take offense. The message was *not* directed toward

"you," but was entirely on the conceptual level, an opinion on the value of

society-granted "titles."

Yes, I'll keep an open mind, and I thank you again for not taking offense.

Truly, none was intended (especially on a personal level!)... just an

honest expression of my "personal viewpoint..." which should be taken as

pure opinion and therefore useful to some and utterly useless to others.
