That is, if individuality really disappears, then it must really exist the first place. But you know, from Advaita Vedanta, that if anything REALLY exists, including maya or avidya, then it can't NOT exist. So, according to that line of thinking, nothing can disappear. Continuing with the same line of inquiry, nothing can replace something, because for the new thing (Universal/Absolute) to be present "after," it can't have been absent in the first place. Also, how can God be in a body/mind? Is God more in some places than others? Actually, for God to have any relationship at all (other than identity) with body/minds, then there have to be body/minds separate from God. Are there such things? For example, to be able to say anything like the following, there must be God the body/mind existing separately: God is in the body/mind. God pervades the body/mind. The body/mind appears in God's awareness. One way to say it that avoids many of these problems is that there is no enlightenment, no individual, no enlightened individual, and no unenlightened individual. All there is, is light. --Greg

Right? Yes! But that's too much. Actually, the doings and actions have the same status as the do-ers and the actions. The keyboard is no more/less real than the typist. The talk about light is a way to see that there aren't entities or states really existing. Light is existence itself. I like the name Xanma. Is that an AOL handle, a given name, a spiritual name, etc.? Regards, --Greg

Light is the universe's metaphor for what we are. Science has revealed to us that the body, the world, and our entire universe is all composed of light. If all the energy of the universe is unified, the result is that it manifests simply as light. Light is timeless. It's only a story, of course, that represents what can not be told, nevertheless, the universe is a wonderful story teller. Blessings of Light...
