Of course you would say that. Your mind identifies itself as "a Buddhist," and thus will respond in the fashion that a Buddhist would respond (free of the God-concept). It's simple conditioning, programming, which is all the mind is - a computer. This mind, being a non-buddhist (leaning strongly toward Advaita Vedanta), will respond in the way a Vedantist would respond (theistically), because it's programmed to a certain belief system. Yet that which is perceived is the same, there is One reality only. Tim, if a space alien came to experience what i would call God, that being might not know that label, so at some point, the labels DO fall away. Advaita Vedanta or Vajrayana Buddhist are more of these, just labels. There are 3 things imo to consider, function, relationship, and situation. A label just points to some instance of these. A line in a prayer i know sez "This meditation produced through mental analysis and intellect is a deceiveing emeny, NOW, conceptualization falls apart with the abandon of a madman..." Can one experience god without the label? and at that point, what is there to describe? There is no one there TO describe, yet description *can* be done. There is only relationship, situation, and function. This one that falls away is the illusion of me seperate from you. i type, you read, that sort of thing. So thats what i was trying to say. Altho i was trying to not use so many words. Mucho Maitri (read that as LOTS of maitri!) --janpa tsomo
