That is, a play of anger etc etc, in order to demonstrate and teach, Ramakrishna said that if you could bark like a dog you didn't need to bite. It's all illusion within illusion. Who is angry when the volcano explodes? It isn't, it just happens. Light or even spiritual light is an attribute therefore is not ultimately real. Constant awakeness of the body indicates Total Awareness, Turiya etc, otherwise physical death would follow sleep deprivation. This is all in illusion of course. Even Purna Avatars started out as 'beings', that became enlightened like Buddha, Krishna etc. They are like Jivanmuktis at the highest level of consciousness, and the wheel spins the program written. In other words Saguna Brahman,(Illusory Iswara, Devi etc), is using the remnant of thought as a vehicle to descend. The only difference between them and us is,they are aware and we are not.
