Ego is the "I, me, mine." Personality consists of the contents of the memory cells of the brain; the impressions collected and stored over the years that cause one person to be "different" from another. Personality differentiates and creates "individuality"; ego is the same with everybody, the sense of "me," the sense that "I did this." Personality and ego can exist independent of one another.
