I don't need to see mental christmas tree lamps flashing to know my True

Nature. If I see something, whatever the hell it is, I'll certainly let it

be and focus awareness on what's important.

P.S.... I have seen something. You know what it was? A distraction,

that's what it was. I didn't get to sleep that night, and tried vainly and

fruitlessly to see this "pinpoint of light" beyond the mind again. See, I

learn from my mistakes. No "spiritual experience" will ever distract me

again from focussing on Who I AM and being One with That.

Hello Tim,

I would have to agree with you on this one. The lights and visions can be

fun but are not the end and can be a huge distraction. I've noticed for

myself that seeing something almost automatically breaks the meditation.

This past week I managed to get a headache that continued for days even

medication did not do much. I had been taught a technique of bringing a

white light through the top of my head - that only worked for a short while.

Finally, I put myself into corpse pose, put on a gong tape and just

concentrated on 'self'. Being able to totally separate from false

identification with the body did the trick. Makes one aware of the

blessings in our challenges :).
