Thunder and lightning happen when net electric charge is eliminated. A thunder and lightning show, then, is a nonduality show, in which a duality is set up between ground and sky and then neutralized in a city-wide flash accompanied by the thunder of I AM. ---Jerry ______________________ Nondual Bulletin Board <http://www.nonduality.com> <http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/umbada>

When thought arises, do not follow it. Let it arise and pass away again, observing it. Do this often enough, and thought will arise less and less often. Then you will be Peace. Without thought, there is peace beyond understanding. xan: Yes! Pratima, at a recent satsang, said the time to stop thought is when it first begins, before you fall into the old habit. And someone else said, "When a thought appears, the first 5 seconds are golden." Tim: I find myself deleting more and more messages from these lists, reading only a select few of interest. There is no more desire for intellectual debate about subjects relating to nonduality (and also I find that very little on these lists actually has anything to do with nonduality). Nonduality is alive, debate about it is based in thought and is dead. Emptiness is absolutely trustworthy. << Beautiful, Tim. You make my heart happy! love, xan
