Guest guest
owner-kundalini [owner-kundalini] On Behalf Of Tony O'Clery Thursday, July 22, 1999 1:37 PM Kundalini [K-list] What about Prana and the Patalas? This is why the Guru and spiritual method is safer and permanent. Some people on activating Chakras by-pass the Heart Chakra almost altogether. So producing the intellectual, heartless society we now have. Ramana Maharishi said that the Sahasrara isn't the ultimate, for after reaching that Chakra the K should return and abide in the Heart Chakra. Love Tony. Hello Tony. The Spiritual Heart (Hridyam) that Ramana Maharshi refers to is not the Heart Chakra of Kundalini Yoga. Guest guest
Thanks for your comments and clarifications Tony. Enjoyed comments by Christopher, Colette, Dan Berkow, Jerry (on the k-list) on Shiva and Shakti. I have written some Shakti poetry and it is on the web. The topic of the Spiritual Heart is dear to me and our teacher Ramana Maharshi never tired of speaking of it. Shiva and Shakti are inseparable. Here is something I wrote on the k-list, (which Angelique manages admirably and we bow to her for kindness). God is always the First Person. He is the Heart. The Great Shakti, who is the Stunning and Supreme Beauty, whose eyes radiate innocence, love, and compassion, rises from the Supreme Person who is the Ocean of Consciousness. Ego, Mind, etc. are all manifestations of the Great Goddess known by many names. When She takes all the names and forms and merges back in the First Person, that is the Heart, there arises then the Great State in Perfect Self-Recognition. It is devoid of Mind or Ego or any of its manifestations having totally consumed them . That is Sat-Chit-Ananda. It is beyond all the Samadhis, Superconscious states and beyond the Supermind. That is Nityam and Poornum. It is the essence of Completeness and Eternally Free. Resting in Its Own Nature, which is Perfect and Supreme Satisfaction, It knows nothing other than IT Self and has no longing for anything what so ever. Harsha Original post: Hello Tony. Guest guest
Hello Harsha: This is a wonderful thread. IMHO it is important to be reminded of and aware of the 'Spiritual Heart', otherwise detachment comes with little compassion and we can all too easily find ourselves cut off from, rather than connected to all. There can sometimes be silly classifications within the world of yoga; jnanna vs. bhakti vs. karma vs. raj. It is always good to see such concepts refuted. When Ramanana Maharshi, who is so highly regarded as a teacher of advaita, spoke so often of the Spiritual Heart he left behind a blessed piece of wisdom for us all. Just last week I heard Ram Das state that if one were to scratch the surface of a Jnanna Yogi one would find a Bhakti Yogi. Your beautiful statement on the "Spiritual Heart" is a timely addition to this important truth. Thanks to you and all of us in this 'cyber-satsangh'. Namaste, Linda >"Harsha (Dr. Harsh K.
