Guest guest
Hello everyone. Next semester, I am teaching a course in business ethics to MBA students. I just finished reviewing some texts and made a couple of book selections. Is anyone aware of a course in business or corporate ethics, where some selection of eastern writings or philosophy might have been used? Just curious. If anyone has some thoughts or suggestions, feel free to pass them on. Thanks. Harsha
Guest guest
Dear Harsha, I don't know of any business books which address ethics, but Eknath Easwaren has some very accessible books on sprituality which address business ethics, from a non-sectarian standpoint. They could be appropriate to maybe a lower to mid level undergraduate course. They are definitely not textbook material in their simple prose style, but they have great potential for totally humanizing a business course. You could call Nilgiri Press or look up their website. (Sorry, I don't have the address here with me.) If you are not familiar with Sri Easwaren yet, I think you will want to be. He is the spiritual leader of the Blue Mountain center of meditation in Tomales, CA. He has written beautiful translations of the Gita and the major Upanishads, as well. If you don't find them easily on a website, let me know and I will get the phone no. and a catalog for you. Jill At 05:38 PM 7/23/99 -0400, you wrote: > Just curious.
