I've come to believe that modern business is the true religion of today and continues the cruelty of America's Puritan roots. Like David, I have confidence that you can affect your students in a positive way. Other than Deepak Chopra's 'Seven Laws of Spiritual Success' I know of no books that address business in an ethical way. Have you thought of contacting some companies that do have an ethical approach to business? Ben & Jerry's comes to mind as does Real Goods, Inc. Lots of Luck, Linda >> Thanks for your comments Linda. As I review the Business and Society texts and Business Ethics texts, it seems clear that ethics in the workplace is currently a "hot" topic. Lot of corporations have developed their personal "Corporate Code of Ethics", and Corporate Ethical Training programs are presenting many opportunities for "Ethics Consultants". As I try to sort all this out, it is not clear what an Ethics Consultant would do. Lot of this seems like it could be window dressing on part of businesses. Just like all of us wear different masks at different times, probably many corporations have decided that an ethics mask would be good public relations. Still, there are many serious people and executives who take the notion of ethics in business seriously. Stories by Antoine and Robert, for example were very inspiring. I am sure there are many more. We don't hear the positive stuff as often as the negative stuff, I think. Harsha
