I’ve been aware of it for most of my life but only recently, since I have begun studying yoga and it’s spiritual cousins, have I been able to understand it in a deeper way. As I was contemplating what sort of questions I have, I first considered the question of sexual desire, which has plauged me for years. I was driving through my neighborhood today and saw a beautiful woman from a distance and the question again presented itself. As I drove closer, I looked at her and saw a woman who could be a Hindu goddess, she smiled at me in the kindest way, which made me feel at ease with myself, I smiled in return and passed by. Upon returning home I had time to consider the beauty of the exchange and the lingering question of desire. I question weather I witnesed a person or a manifestation. It is a bit frightening to be given such clear signs, right when you ask for them. The funny thing is, I can’t express what it was that was exchanged. And the deamon of desire seems diminished. On the other hand... Last night, I spent the evening with some friends, a mother and daughter, 55 and 32. The mother that day picked up medical prescriptions, a variety of mood altering substances, which she in turn sells, rather than takes. Her docter is aware of the fact that she doesn’t take the medication but doesn’t ask any questions. Her pharmacist skims prescriptions and encourages her customers to move up to stronger pain killers and higher clasifications of mood drugs. There is a lot of money being exchanged, all under the watchfull eye of the food and drug administration? I am an observer of all of this strange behavior and I often ask them questions about what motivates them to do these things, but mostly I get that “deer in the headlights” look. I can only smile and watch. I wonder that they don’t see what I see, the desire for altered states and cash. Exposure to environments like that provide a number of challenges, and so I have come to this list to partake of a different sort of environment, it’s a pleasure to be here. Yes I think that one can get initiated into God/Goddess awareness through reflections in opposite sex, (attraction ~ pull to unify own opposites). This happened to me too. Love and sexual romantic attraction may be used to show you your own divinity. At first one may project onto others, their own shiny radiance (but it is one's own light being beamed back at you (for who is the perceiver and whom are you perceiving.. Self). Others are mirrors into your Self. You are Godman. This is just what someone guided me to see it as .. so that I wouldn't give away my power and lose myself in another, without realising my own inner Guru. What you are pereciving of 'her' she may not be even knowing of herself at that high level at all, nor sensing your God divinity back for you either. Maybe this will happen more and more for you with others getting stronger and stronger a pull to merge. It is one way of being initiated that is so powerful. I call it holy spirit playing with ya to call you .. within .. We can project it without (onto others) for only so long .. but must conjoin or merge our own masculine and feminine energies within eventually. All my opinion of course, and maybe not what you wanted to hear. But yes it's real .. everyone has a divine soul which you may start seeing. Universe uses attraction to open celestial perception (of own Heart~ Eyes windows soul ~ true). It is gorgeous but can be obsessive as the golden carot is dangled in front of you. And what I found was that those whose divinity I perceived, were not ready to live at that level of awareness (but I was ready to SEE them there and have a go living it at that level). Do not forget that divine souls (Roses), have thorns, and can maim. I wish you a smooth initiation into falling in love with Love (God/Self). It was one of my own initiations too. Follow your heart and enjoy it as spirit allows. I don't know what particular lessons are for you to face. Maybe it isn't what you are facing, maybe I was just projecting that it could for you how it was for me ... from your few words hinting .. I need some new way to look at this, the guilt driven feelings I've had are not helping me. Yes my brother has given me descriptions of seeing women as Goddesses yet he is very spiritual and has studied a lot of psychology ~ Spirit may use attraction to show you your own beauty. Enjoy it. Though maybe also see how to balance your own inner feminine ~ has to do with your first relationship with mother. I am balancing my inner male. Yes two may merge as one even in one moment, from a glance, and it is ecstasy. Embracement and penetration happens at level of energy too.
