Guest guest
Thanks Linda and others for your many positive responses to Dirk's moving story about his teacher's teacher, Brahmananda Sarswati. We have many wonderful and wise and experienced people in this sangha. There are so many that I would not know where to start. Since we are talking about Dirk, I will start with him. Dirk's spiritual maturity, gentle humor, depth of knowledge in the scriptures, devotion to his Guru (Maharshi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the TM movement), unerring intuition of the truth, and humility speak for themselves. I feel uplifted just knowing that Dirk is present. Let me just add to Dirk's post by mentioning that Swami Brahmananda Sarswati (Maharshi Mahesh Yogis's Guru) was a rare and widely known Siddha in India and had in-depth knowledge of the highest yogic sciences. Swami Rama wrote of him, "Among all the swamis of India, I only met a few who radiated such brilliance and yet lived in public, remaining unaffected by worldly temptations and distractions." Swami Brahmananda's picture can be found on page 261 in Swami Rama's book, "Living with the Himalayan Masters." God bless you all Harsha
