Guest guest
Codons are three-nucleotide sequences on the mRNA. In this manner the amino acids are organized into the correct sequence to build a protein. The ribosome works with the mRNA and tRNA to hook the amino acids together to form a protein. The genetic code <http://pegasus.uthct.edu/ResUTHCT/Investigators/SBlack/geneticd.html> is the alphabet of the genes. A combination of three letters, e.g. ATG, are the code for a certain building brick, or amino acid. Each combination of such three letters is called a codon <http://www.gdb.org/Dan/DOE/prim6.html>. Each codon specifies an amino acid. With respect ... Christopher Wynter, Hobart, Tasmania ... wynter _______ Codons are three-nucleotide sequences on the mRNA.
