Guest guest
Afternoon: A thirsty lion, having found his way to a lake, was startled when he bent over to take a drink, to see (as he thought) another lion looking back at him. He roared at it but it didn't go away, and the other animals watching nearby laughed at him. Finally he charged into the lake to attack the "other lion," to discover that there wasn't any other lion there at all -- it was his own reflection. (Told by Idries Shah in the "Dreamwalkers" program of the BBC TV series, "One Pair of Eyes.") >From Harsha: By the way, I have a B.A. in Philosophy, so I recognize many of the names, but have forgotten many of the details. Glad for it! :--). I really laughed, me too *g* ... having sought endlessly in zillions of directions, I'm rather glad some of the details fell out of da Maze. Music for me more than words now, but really perhaps, all my life, is the harmony I seek. But, I confess, that in various countries, I love it when the words fall into place and I begin to speak the language, so yes, symbols and language, especially as visuals convey so much to us that are beyond words.
