Hi Chris, your view of Eastern teachings is somewhat limited. I do not make

the east west distinction, but if you must make it, it may be worthwhile

knowing of the multitude and variety of yogic and meditative traditions. Many

of the yogas, especially those involving Kundalini are both body and mind

centered. There is a lot of Hatha and Raja Yoga literature dating back

thousands of years that explains the relationship between the body, breath,

mind, and the spirit. If you are interested in a modern exponent of Kundalini

Yoga, Sri Aurbindo's Integral Yoga may be of interest to you. That is just

one source. There are many many others as well. Perhaps after reading and

understanding some of these, you will be in a better position to enhance your

work.
