Guest guest
Gentle Harsha ... My reference refers to a previous post where I refer to Eastern Symbollism in the Western Body ... My experience of many people, including teachers of many forms of Eastern philosophy limit themselves with the statement "I am not my body" to the pursuit of "yoga" as a mental exercise ... and Hatha Yoga to the pursuit of mind over body. This, I have found, precludes the intelligence of the body ... and its connection to what I term 'the right brain' The process of 'I am not my body' allows the sacraments of genetic catholicism to maintain a holding pattern within the body that 'the church owns my body' ... and I cannot go against the church ... This vibration (and symbols of early Roman Church) I have found in the left arm and hip, spleen, kidneys and bowel of both male and female ... and very strongly in the uterus and birth canal of female ... The block that I have found that is most common has had many sombols ... most predominantly a coffin ... and this has been found in the throat chakra ... specifically the thyroid gland ... This was what several sunyassin and yoga teachers came out with when I took them into their bodies ... people who had devoted 20 years to teaching yoga to westerners after spending many years at the guru's feet in India ... they taught what they had learned ... not what they had become ... But there are some who are ... not learned ... I am well aware of the teachings of Sru Auribindo ... and many others ... Patenjali was one of my first readers ... I read from that the necessity to purify body ... and from that and a very dear and gentle friend ... actively turned everything that I read ... and the practices ... deep into my own body ... and the body organs .. The journey was not all that comfortable ... as genetic memories from deep in the past have surfaced ... as past diseases have coursed through the physical body ... as left and right hemispheres of the brain have dissolved ... as DNA tests have shown massive changes ... Yes I can understand Western Mind's reticence at grasping fully and applying to self the full impact of the Eastern Teachings ... and this is why I write as I write .. Knowledge of Spirituality, and of the teachings, in my humble opinion, makes the ego spiritual ... but I to the perception that, even though I am not my body, my body is part of the sum of I in My expression ... it is my experiential vehicle ... and to ignore the body is to ignore the life support system for my mind ... I perceive that, ultimately, when the body is fully 'purified' the mind, emotional and lifeforce 'densities' merge fully into the one ... so that at death ... which will then become fully conscious choice not 'fait accompli' (mahasamahdi) the 'soul' will be 'pure' enough that it has the choice of full dissintegration ... and there is no unconscious judgement to lead to a furthur need for reincarnation ... I feel this deeper explanation may allow you to grasp the implications of my work ... and I would respect your feedback at my humble attempts to put my work into the English language Christopher Wynter > wynter writes: > > << Eastern Philosophy talks about Mind .. to the exclusion of body ... and > the need > to move beyond body ... > >> > > Hi Chris, your view of Eastern teachings is somewhat limited.
