Yes, I've been accused of that before. :-) Apparently, it is all I know. >Why not just leave that whole level behind and go to the next > one, where you won't notice the thoughts of the thinking mind? As I'm sure I need to learn the basics. My whole life I have skipped over them and went straight to advanced in whatever I did, and learned the basics along the way. LOL funny but true. >In a new group, I usually get everyone above the thinking level just briefly... > in the first class. If I won't practice, I'll work on the attachment I have that is stopping me from practicing it. :-)) Back to my piano lessons... (ok, I lied, a good movie is coming on) Thanks for your all your help Dharma. I look forward to receiving your reply. Guest guest
Hi Teegee, >tg> >After years of contemplating and observing my own thoughts that arise as >> >neither good, bad, or indifferent, (to the best of my ability!), I came >to >> >the conclusion that this would not bring about even-mindedness within >> myself, >> >dharma:> Well, that's one kind of meditation... have you considered trying >another >> kind? > >I don't think so... can you elaborate?? There are many kinds of meditation. But what strikes me is that what you've been doing is staying on the mental level and observing your thoughts. Why not just leave that whole level behind and go to the next one, where you won't notice the thoughts of the thinking mind? That's what we do in the method I usually teach. I'll send you what I wrote about it... this was written for an on-line group of young parents, so it's just simple languge... doesn't even mention chakras and Kundalini. Actually, it doesn't require active K.... anyone can do it. I'll send the first class too... actually, it's the basic method. In a new group, I usually get everyone above the thinking level just briefly... in the first class. Then it's a matter of practice, so you can stay there longer and have more control.
