It's a matter of clarifying the nature of compassion. Believing that massacres are okay due to karmic interweavings can be a belief that might be used (indeed has been used) to support massacres. Believing that there is no good and evil could be used to support destructive aims (and in fact has). I *don't* think you are doing this yourself. However, if one does believe that compassionate involvement is worthwhile, then how will this be explained? Compassion, in my mind, indicates that there is more to Reality than it being beyond good and evil and karmically balanced. This "something more" is beyond ideology and not a matter of beliefs. I think you express compassion, and that is important to me.
