Guest guest
Namaste Brothers and Sisters, Ego and attachment are in the end the same thing. For the mind goes out and identifies with objects and builds this illusory feeling of Ego. A child talks in the third person before it's Ego is stabilised. Perhaps we should learn from that. It seems that desires and ego are one and the same thing. A phantam feast for a ghost. The ego's unreality is shown by it's desire to continually reinforce itself. To convince itself that it really exists and is a person. All these belong to me therefore 'I' must exist, see here is my photo, my job, my awards etc. They relate to me, so see I exist. So ego is really a case of false identification with the body and its attachments and desires. Other than that it does not exist. There is nothing to integrate. The only thing to be integrated is awareness not ego. For awareness is part of the Reality whereas ego is illusory. Ego outwards Awareness inwards. Is not the rise of K the rise or integration of awareness. Where is the ego there? The associated sensations are cleansing prana, not awareness per se. It is just happening is it not? " There is one thing that comes into man from the outside. That thing is ego, which is formed by the attachment to outside objects. With desire for the world cut, ego automatically vanishes." Swami, (Sai Baba). Is that not simple? Love and Sai Ram, Tony. Zenbobji; This has been stamped and sealed with 'sealing wax', mainly from my ears, due to too much listening. The imprimatur of the 'Wholly See',has been imprinted as we are in wholeness. Perhaps Swami Gloria, will forgive me for being Swami and go back to excelsis in happiness Deo. Is this not amusing play of ego? ===== http://members.xoom.com/aoclery/ Keep on truckin-Chant the Gayatri! "God is formless. In order to merge in the formless God, you have to give up identification with the body." "There is only one Soul and that is God." Sai Baba. Love and Sai Ram, Tony. >> Dearest Toniji: Exactly. It is thus. There is no ego in a sensory depravation tank...only beingness. Of course, later there is itchy-skin-ness, too, but then, as you rightly say, that is the body imposing its selfish needs upon the Pure Mind. Remind me that I need to construct a large sensory deprivation tank for the Retreat amid the Oaks and Goats. Swami Gloria has exchanged reverential places with you temporarily and is delighted with the extra time for repose. The seal is lovely, but the wax a bit soft and sticky. Perhaps a bit of Carnauba might be added to thicken. Also, some sandalwood incense will serve to soften the fragrance, Toniji, no disrespect intended. Sai Ram!
