Guest guest
To borrow a few phrases from T.S. Elliot~ The "overwhelming question" is only that, a Question, that serves to feed only our metaphorical musings. "And indeed there will be time," or as Andrew Marvell said in his "To His Coy Mistress," "Had we but world enough and time..." "There will be time, there will be time To prepare a {word} to meet the {words}that {we} meet." "Let us go then, you and I...." and consult the "secret one" within who knows only of Truth. There will be time... to prepare a mask to meet the masks that we meet. And there will be time to drop the mask that only and always calls forth the Drama. There will be time . . to allow our inner Fool to speak the nonsensical and shed light on the paradoxical wisdom that spreads out over this vast language landscape. There will be time... to exit the hall of mirrors that reflects an endless mirage of Image after Image. There will be time.... "Oh, do not ask, 'What is it?' Let us go and make our visit" "Student, do the simple purification. You know that the seed is inside the horse-chestnut tree; and inside the seed there are the blossoms of the tree, and the chestnuts, and the shade. So inside the human body there is the seed, and inside the seed there is the human body again. Fire, air, earth, water, and space -- if you don't want the secret one, you can't have these either. Thinkers, listen, tell me what you know of what is not inside the soul? Take a pitcher full of water and set it down on the water -- now it has water inside and water outside. We mustn't give it a name, lest silly people start talking again about the body and the soul. If you want the truth, I'll tell you the truth: Listen to the secret sound, the real sound, which is inside you. The one no one talks of speaks the secret sound to herself, and she is the one who made it all." Jalaladin Rumi Peace Raven
