Dan: Diana, if you can say in reality this is so, then you know reality. Knowing reality, what else is there for you (other than Reality)? Who is there then apart from you? In this Reality, there is only Reality, nothing apart - Reality ("this" present) then is enlightenment, in fact, only "light" itself - > diana: the Buddha said there are at least >84,000 ways to Enlightenment. I have to agree with him on that - spiritual >unfolding is unique to each individual. > Dan: Did the Buddha "receive" enlightenment, or did he simply awaken to the fact of enlightment as reality? If the latter, there was "no one else there" and no place "he" was - only ... present... It is we, believing in separation, that "make" a Buddha (or Ramana or Jesus or Abraham) as a figure who represents something "elsewhere" in another sphere or realm or whatever... Although there may appear to be various "ways" to enlightenment for many individuals, from here it seems there is only One way and that way is the One itself, One alone. Where in this One is there a separate individual to experience spiritual unfolding? Taking on the appearance of separate individuality is the One, as long as that appearance seems real and believable (to a so-called "relative mind") -- (climbing down from soapbox, slightly out of breath) in Love
