Dear Olga,

I salute your courage in baring your heart.

I sincerly hope that the foolish folks out there

will Not bombard you with cruel comments.

..

I would love to help you through this problem.

..

If you would like me work with you on an on going basis, please let me know.

..

Here are my recomendations.

..

#1 read Lord Buddha's first discourse daily.

you can find it at the following Site:

..

http://world.std.com/~metta/canon/samyutta/sn56-11.html

..

#2 slowly read and consider at least one chapter of the Dhammapada daily.

You can find it at the following site:

..

http://world.std.com/~metta/canon/khuddaka/dhp/index.html

..

#3 In the, "Buddha---gho-sa, The Path of Purification "

Lord Buddha taught forty concentration devices

or meditation subjects for tranquilizing the mind .

The first Ten catagories are called, "the ten recollections (

a-nus-sa-ti )",

the sixth type of recollection is called, " De-va-ta-nus-sa-ti or

recollection of celestial

beings".

It can be helpful to recal that Gotama Siddhartha

a was raised in a Hindu culture,

b was a Hindu reformist,

c and taught Hindu disciples,

d He refered to Hindu scriptures in some discources

e and many teach that He was an Incarnation of the Hindu god,

"Krish-na".

..

Having said all that I would like to teach you a very SIMPLE meditation

that could really aid your plight.

.

a One IN-breath + one OUT-breath = one, "Round".

b I recommend performing 36 Rounds per session,

for at least One morning session

and for One evening session, daily.

[this is also great to do while driving w/ the radio off]

c For the 1st 18 Rounds

on the IN-breath Mentally recite, "Anxiety" or "Pesimissm"

on the OUT-breath Verbally {rapidly}recite the Maha Mantra

{three times}.

Do not be surprised if the verbal skill

takes a few days to develop.

d For the 2nd 18 Rounds

on the IN-breath Mentally recite, "Serine", or "Secure",

on the OUT-breath Verbally recite {rapidly} recite the Maha

Mantra {three times}.

e The Maha Mantra is as follows

..

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna,

Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare;

Hare Rama, Hare Rama,

Rama Rama, Hare Hare!

..

Do not be alarmed.

This mantra pre-dates ISKCON {the Hare Krishnas}.

..

This should really take the edge off.

If it doesn't just let me know, I've got a bunch of techniques that could help.

..

Please write back soon,

with palms folded,

Darren :-)

..
