As a child (and as an adult) I've witnessed the detrimental effects that responsibility brings and how it makes us old. Funny. I'm taking a developmental psychology course right now, & it talks about how very young children live in the present moment & have a weak understanding of time. The view of the course continues on about how our childrens' 'impaired' experience of no time eventually 'matures' and 'expands' to include past & future. But folks on these types of list realize this is not really an expansion at all, but rather a conditioned limitation. After all , past & future lie in the realm of the imaginary, ...and the imaginary takes place during... uh when? Cheers to staying young forever... Guest guest
Dear David: Lovely poem. Enjoyed thoroughly. Very crafty, very wise. I have played in the rain during lightning storms, so I really like the deadly imagery. Lightning is afraid of me, however. I trap it and play with it just as Edison and Tesla did, so it is more frightened than I am. Blessings Zenbob

It reminds me of the delicious moment when Jerry Falwell visited LA and gave some big televised arch conservative speech on the evils of modern life...when he reached a critical point, he said, "And if I am lying, God can strike me..." he never finished the line on air, because a lightning bolt struck the church building knocking out all of the power for several hours. I thought that this almost made me think that for very special persons, under very special circumstances that God is watching and listening. David: I've always somehow known how important it is to nurture a young mind. As a child (and as an adult) I've witnessed the detrimental effects that responsibility brings and how it makes us old. Rainbo: I think we only "age" from responsibility when we do not trust God, or Love. There is really nothing to worry about, but I, like you still have days where I worry because I am not completely in now. Mark Twain also said, 99% of the things we worry about never happen. There is a beautiful book called "The Miracle of Mindfulness" by Thich Nhat Hanh, if you can I would get this book. I have seen it work miracles in many lives, I've given away at least two dozen copies. Nowadays, if I want to keep a book, I give it to my mother, she never gives anything away! <g> David: Funny.
