Thought it could be fun

to be insane.

You stomp through mud;

forgotten who I am.

But through the longest storms

I remember for you.

I am the lightning that stalks you like a lover.

Strike when you least expect.

I hold the power to make you feel alive

…or strike you dead.

I’m the wind and the rain,

and my face reflects from the darkest cloud.

I’m the drop that drips

from your face and falls

into the puddle

you slosh through.

I evaporate into sky

riding the power of light

like a soul.

Some day you will drink me.

I taste like nothing you've imagined.

I am nothing,

I am no one.

Happy birthday.

posted a quote of Twain's to another list today about youth that

doesn't rebel having no heart and having no brains if not a conservative

in old age and reflected alot today on how i am still a child *g*

I've always somehow known how important it is to nurture a young mind.

As a child (and as an adult) I've witnessed the detrimental effects that

responsibility

brings and how it makes us old.

Funny. I'm taking a developmental psychology course right now, & it talks about

how very young children live in the present moment & have a weak understanding

of

time. The view of the course continues on about how our childrens' 'impaired'

experience of

no time eventually 'matures' and 'expands' to include past & future.

But folks on these types of list realize this is not really an expansion at all,

but rather a conditioned limitation.

After all , past & future lie in the realm of the imaginary,

...and the imaginary takes place during...

uh when?

Cheers to staying young forever...

Dear David:

Lovely poem. Enjoyed thoroughly. Very crafty, very wise.

I have played in the rain during lightning storms, so I really like the

deadly imagery. Lightning is afraid of me, however. I trap it and play with

it just as Edison and Tesla did, so it is more frightened than I am.

:)

Blessings

I once shouted out, 'Come and get me,' during a thunder storm.

When an imposing lightning bolt struck immediately outside my open window

I decided not to make such invitations anymore.

Dear David:

Yes, I can imagine! It reminds me of the delicious moment when Jerry Falwell

visited LA and gave some big televised arch conservative speech on the evils

of modern life...when he reached a critical point, he said, "And if I am

lying, God can strike me..." he never finished the line on air, because a

lightning bolt struck the church building knocking out all of the power for

several hours. I thought that this almost made me think that for very

special persons, under very special circumstances that God is watching and

listening.

:)

Blessings

I'm convinced.

God is a 'Tele-Tubbie'.

It's like walking on a razor edge, one stops wishing for anything for it

comes back like a slap on the face, faster and more sharp each time. And

it is yourself who slaps yourself, no one else to blame. Watch out for

what you decide for :)

Being indecisive is stagnation.

Deciding is limiting.

What's left?

Rainbo:

I think we only "age" from responsibility when we do not trust God, or Love.

There is really nothing to worry about, but I, like you still have days where

I worry

because I am not completely in now. Mark Twain also said, 99% of the things

we worry about never happen. There is a beautiful book called "The Miracle

of Mindfulness" by Thich Nhat Hanh, if you can I would get this book. I

have seen it work miracles in many lives, I've given away at least two dozen

copies. Nowadays, if I want to keep a book, I give it to my mother, she never

gives anything away! <g>
