thank you Chief Harsha for this singular vision!

i have long contemplated a framed photograph which has been in my family for

quite a while. it is a photo of dallin's famous sculpture "appeal to the

great spirit."

there's a picture of this sculpture at

http://world.std.com/~deeryan/cyapp.html

when i was very little, i used to stare at this picture--it said freedom to

me! and then i would wish for the rider and the horse to disappear. yes!

more than an appeal, a stunning surrender. . .

thank you, as always for your words.

love and blessings,

aleks

The Great Spirit showed us that things always change. Accepting it, we felt

contented. Sometimes we cried and sometimes we laughed as the Great Spirit

moved us. We prayed to the Great Spirit and asked for mercy. We asked to be

spared from pain. We prayed that others be spared pain. We prayed that our

Heart would grow big and embrace the whole universe and wipe away all tears

of all living beings. Then we saw the Great Spirit. The Great Spirit

swallowed us. Now We Saw that We were the Great Spirit.
