Accepting it, we felt contented. Sometimes we cried and sometimes we laughed as the Great Spirit moved us. We prayed to the Great Spirit and asked for mercy. We asked to be spared from pain. We prayed that others be spared pain. We prayed that our Heart would grow big and embrace the whole universe and wipe away all tears of all living beings. Then we saw the Great Spirit. The Great Spirit swallowed us. Now We Saw that We were the Great Spirit. Chief Harsha 1999 >> Hau! The Braves and Squaws erect their totems to you and paint their wigwams with your paint of many colors. Your wisdom is like that of the rain, which falls on all things...your love like the clouds, that shields us from the brightest sun and gives birth to the rain; your compassion like the wind, that is felt throughout the land. We will follow even if the trail is marked with tears and even if we must live in Canada. I have climbed the seven moon mountain in your honor and carved your sacred signs above the highest claw marks left by the tallest grizzly...it simply says "Harsha is One with Us." -Medicine Man Leaping Zenbob 1999 or so... >> Thanks Zenbob. I understood everything that you said (other than the living in Canada part). I was moved by your climbing the seven moon mountains also to carve my sacred sign above the highest claw marks left by the tallest grizzly. I don't know what to say to that (because I never knew I had a sacred sign) so I will let Mira, Dan, Rainbo, Gloria, Aleks, Janpa, Bruce, or anyone who pleases comment on that. I am sure that the sign you put up there Zenbob was the right one as you have unerring intuition it seems. The Great Spirit has moved you to speak, inspired your art, filled your heart, perhaps so you could share you wisdom in an entertaining way. This is important in this dark age (Kali Yuga) as people have short attention spans. So humor is needed. And you make an art of it and so you are the acknowledged master here. I also wanted to say that I was concerned about the following comment from a new member, Atsila Aktahi that came to the list after you posted. She wrote "that was very sad, even racist,........... atsila aktahi". I don't know if that referred to your comments given above or not. I would not want Atsila or anyone else to feel this way at all as I do not think that was the intent here. This Satsangha has value because we respect each other and Ahimsa (nonviolence) is the underlying theme and the fabric of our interactions. As human beings we make mistakes and as we recognize them we do our best to make up for them. Your post was not clear to me Atsila, except that I felt you were hurt by some words that someone said and I am sorry about that. In a way, this is life I guess. Perhaps we are all so utterly desperate in our loneliness that comes from the need to be understood exactly in the way we want to be. And perhaps not many have the capacity or the inclination to understand us in the way we want or the way we are. Perhaps that is our pain. And perhaps there is no other solution but to love each other despite that pain. Love to all Harsha
