Guest guest
"Dan Berkow, PhD" <berkowd Tim, thanks for the observations on "How to spot false 'gurus' - Lesson One." There is truth to what you say. There is One who brings light by being light. This light-bringer has no name and is not other than your very being. With That as guru/guide/teacher, whatever and whomever you encounter reflects that Teacher in some way. Put no one ahead of That from which your very being is brought forth. Anyone who suggests (they are many and the suggestions are often subtle) that themselves as human being/personality should be your focus, are reflecting your Teacher by demonstrating exactly how the Teaching becomes distorted by mind. Particularly humorous is the approach of those suggesting themselves as focus by claiming that they themselves have no ego to interfere with you expressing your devotion. I also find myself feeling unmoved by those who claim that particular people being present, or rituals, ceremonies, practices or words are necessary for me to notice That from which I emanate. Love, Dan
