The veiling and cause of seeing the rope in the snake. It is the combination of the three gunas, Sathwa, Rajas and Tamas. I often see Maya written as the illusion when it is the cause of it. Jim: Tony, could you tell me more about the three gunas? I don't know anything about them, and my understanding of Maya is primitive at best.
